Since Markers created in MPEG Streams in the Track Editor must line up with the GOP headers encoded into that MPEG stream, the position of a new Marker will be adjusted, or snapped to the GOP specified in the Track Preferences Pane This restriction applies even if you are setting Markers into an un-encoded Movie (mov) (See Fig 8-2)

The SwingConstants interface defines several constants that relate to Swing This interface is implemented by JLabel (and several other components) Thus, you can also refer to these constants through JLabel, such as JLabelRIGHT Notice that icons are specified by objects of type Icon, which is an interface defined by Swing The easiest way to obtain an icon is to use the ImageIcon class ImageIcon implements Icon and encapsulates an image Thus, an object of type ImageIcon can be passed as an argument to the Icon parameter of JLabel s constructor There are several ways to provide the image, including reading it from a file or downloading it from a URL Here is the ImageIcon constructor used by this recipe: ImageIcon(String lename) It obtains the image in the file named filename You can put a border around a label Borders are helpful when you want to clearly show the extents of the label All Swing borders are instances of the javaxswingborderBorder interface Although it is possible to define your own borders, you won t usually need to because Swing provides several predefined border styles, which are available through javaxswingBorderFactory This class defines several factory methods that create various types of borders, ranging from simple line borders to beveled, etched, or matte borders You can also create a titled border, which includes a short caption embedded in the border, or an empty border, which is an invisible border Empty borders are useful when a gap around a component is desired
